Gracias a que existe la muerte te das cuenta de que estás vivo
Lo importante ahora es que tú mismo definas qué punto tiene tu vida, cuál es el propósito de tu propia vida, para qué sí quieres tu vivir.
El miedo a la muerte tiene algunos componentes en común: el miedo a lo desconocido, el miedo a no tener el control . A no saber cómo será ese momento, el miedo al dolor, el miedo a dejar a nuestros seres queridos y, sobre todo, el miedo a dejar de existir.
Aunque el ciclo de la vida indica que la muerte forma parte de la misma, lo difícil es aceptarlo. Y, entonces aparece el miedo, el sufrimiento e incluso la negación ante una realidad tan indiscutible.
Nos podríamos preguntar el porqué y nos deberíamos responder que el ser humano es la única especie viva que dedica una gran parte de su tiempo a reflexionar, no tan solo sobre la muerte, que es indiscutible e incuestionable sino qué hay detrás de ella.
Si vamos a morir, ¿cuál es el sentido de la vida? Si, realmente, era la pregunta que te estabas haciendo, quizás, no le estas dando un significado adecuado a tu vida actual, no la llenas de luz y vives el aquí y el ahora.
Solemos tener miedo a la muerte en la medida en que nos identificamos con este cuerpo físico. El cuerpo físico sí que pertenece a “algo que nació”, por tanto, debe morir. “Lo que nació debe morir”. Pero somos más que un cuerpo: el YO más profundo, el YO con mayúsculas, lo que en esencia somos.
Un pequeño cuento con un gran mensaje.

El primero pregunta al otro:
-¿Tú crees en la vida después del nacimiento?
-Claro que sí. Algo debe existir después del nacimiento. Tal vez estamos aquí porque necesitamos prepararnos para lo que seremos más tarde.
-¡Tonterías! No hay vida después del nacimiento. ¿Cómo sería realmente esa vida?
-No lo sé exactamente, pero seguramente habrá más luz que aquí. Tal vez caminemos con nuestros propios pies y nos alimentemos por la boca.
-¡Esto es absurdo! Caminar es imposible. ¿Y comer con la boca? ¡Eso es totalmente ridículo! El cordón umbilical es por dónde nos alimentamos. Yo te digo solamente una cosa: la vida después del nacimiento está excluida. El cordón umbilical es demasiado corto.
-Yo creo que seguramente hay algo. Tal vez sea sólo un poco distinto a lo que estamos acostumbrados a tener aquí.
-Pero nadie nunca ha vuelto de allá, después del nacimiento. El parto apenas encierra la vida. Y al final de cuentas, la vida no es nada más que la angustia prolongada en la oscuridad.
-Bueno, no sé exactamente cómo será después del nacimiento, pero seguro veremos a la mamá y ella nos cuidará.
-¿Mamá? ¿Tú crees en mamá? ¿Y dónde crees tú que ella esté?
-¿Dónde? ¡En todo nuestro alrededor! En ella y a través de ella es que vivimos. Sin ella todo esto no existiría.
-¡Yo no creo! Nunca he visto ninguna mamá, por lo tanto es lógico que no exista ninguna.
-Bueno, pero a veces cuando estamos en silencio, tú puedes oírla cantando, o sentir como acaricia nuestro mundo. Sabes, yo pienso que hay una vida real que nos espera y que ahora solamente estamos preparándonos para ella…
