No te la pases agitando tus desgracias, pronosticando tragedias imaginarias, asustado por posibles males que a lo mejor no llegan nunca. Nacemos para luchar por la vida y la felicidad… casi para crearla, para hacerla a pesar de la tristeza, los desencantos, los errores, las malas jugadas y los irremediables imprevistos.
Necesitamos concentrarnos en amar, expulsar del corazón y de la mente cualquier pensamiento, sentimiento o emoción relativa al odio, como: resentimientos, rencores, deseos de venganza o desquite, repulsión o desprecio, porque todos ellos son el primer motivo de todos nuestros problemas, son la principal causa de errores y fracasos, son como un cáncer que nos corroe el alma. Si logramos crecer, superarnos, perdonar y amar veremos cómo nos florece y se nos enriquece la vida. La felicidad es una elección que podemos hacer en cualquier momento y lugar. Los pensamientos son los que nos hacen sentir felices o desgraciados, no las circunstancias.
La vida es una copa colmada de felicidad, lo que nunca se nos da llena sino de sorbito en sorbito, todos los días, para sobrevivir. No podemos buscar la felicidad en bienes y placeres solamente, si actuamos bien ella sola se nos va presentando. No podemos estar todo el tiempo añorando y extrañando lo que nos falta, lo que necesitamos es valorar lo que tenemos y enfrentar la vida con alegría y optimismo. Muchas veces a nuestro alrededor están todos los ingredientes para ser felices y sin embargo no lo somos porque no sabemos dar a la vida un máximo de calidad y rendimiento, y miramos al mundo como un esclavo, al camino empedrado como un imposible, a la mala suerte como una sombra que nos persigue, al ideal como algo inalcanzable.
La felicidad no está en los años, meses, semanas, ni siquiera en los días. Solo se encuentra en los momentos y la vida siempre tiene derecho a sorprendernos. ¿Saben cuál es la diferencia entre un sueño y una meta? Una meta es un sueño con fecha concreta para convertirse en realidad y un sueño es algo que está fuera de la realidad pero necesitamos soñar y tratar de que esos sueños se hagan realidad. Y si nos ponemos una meta difícil o creemos que tenemos un sueño imposible, entonces tenemos que pensar que el éxito es sólo la recompensa, pero lo que vale es el esfuerzo. Por eso como decía alguien “Apunta hacia la Luna, pues aunque te equivoques, llegarás a las estrellas”.
Muy pocos de nosotros disfrutamos plenamente de algo. A muchas personas es muy pequeño el júbilo que les despierta la visión de una puesta de sol, o ver una persona atractiva, o a un pájaro en vuelo, o un árbol hermoso, o una bella danza. No disfrutan verdaderamente de nada. En muchas ocasiones miramos algo que nos entretiene o nos excita, y sentimos esa sensación que llamamos gozo. Pero el disfrute pleno de algo es mucho más profundo.
La esencia de la vida es ir hacia delante porque no se puede dar marcha atrás. La vida, en realidad, es una calle de sentido único donde estar preparado es importante, saber esperar lo es aún más, pero aprovechar el momento adecuado es la clave. Nunca es tarde para vivir porque el tiempo es tan intemporal como nosotros, ni tarde para amar porque el corazón no tiene edad para sentir. Simplemente hagamos el camino dejando que la vida nos toque, que nos acaricie el viento, que la luna ilumine la silueta intemporal de nuestras vivencias… no miremos atrás porque eso hará que perdamos instantes que nos esperan siempre en la próxima esquina del camino.
No busquemos fórmulas sencillas ni baratas para encontrar la felicidad, solo tenemos que ir armonizando con todo, por ejemplo: tomar del panal un poquito de miel, del mar un poquito de sal, de la vida un toque de optimismo, de la imaginación algo de sueño y del dolor algo de raíz… y cuando seamos capaces de preocuparnos por la felicidad de los otros, entonces la nuestra llegará sola.
