Lejos de quejarte por tener otra clase de pelo, es mejor sacarle el máximo partido a nuestro pelo, sea liso o rizado.

La razón por la que su pelo es liso o rizado no es algo simple. Por un lado, el tipo de formato capilar es tan potente como para amargar parte de la adolescencia, he aquí lo que nos interesa, detrás de un solo pelo se esconde bastantes circunstancias biológicas y genéticas que explican por qué una fibra capilar puede ser curva o recta.

Los genes y factores internos que heredamos de nuestros antepasados son los que hacen que una persona nazca con el pelo liso o el pelo rizado.

La queratina. Su particular composición en cada persona hará que la naturaleza del pelo sea lisa, rizada u ondulada. La queratina es una proteína fibrosa con estructura helicoidal que se une entre sí a través de puentes, formando largas cadenas resistentes. El caso es que dependiendo de cómo estén organizados estos enlaces, el pelo será más rizado o más liso. Si se unen de una manera recta, el pelo será lacio. Pero si la conexión es en diagonal o asimétrica, el cabello coge la forma rizada.

La proteína es el principal componente para dar fuerza al cabello. El fino tiene un 50% menos de proteínas que el pelo grueso. Por eso, un pelo lacio tiende a ser más flexible, lo que hace que se caiga recto con facilidad, sea más débil y más propenso a la rotura y a las puntas abiertas. También tiene menos probabilidades de mantener un peinado en comparación con un cabello de fibra más gruesa”

Ninguno es mejor que otro, es cierto que las características propias de cada pelo definen uno pros y unos contras a tener en cuenta. Por ejemplo, es más fácil que un cabello liso sea también muy fino, con menos queratina y, por lo tanto, débil y más sensible a la caída y a las consecuencias de ciertos factores externos que alteran la salud capilar.

El pelo rizado a menudo se siente seco, ya que en comparación con una fibra recta, se necesita más tiempo para que los aceites del cuero cabelludo se muevan hacia abajo e hidrate bien toda la fibra.

Consejos para cuidar el pelo rizado

-Busca productos que sean hidratantes y reparadores y que no contengan sulfatos.

-Lava tu cabello solo cuando lo necesite

-Deja el acondicionador en el cabello durante toda la noche

-Cuando tengas el cabello húmedo, peina tu cabello con un cepillo de dientes anchos de abajo a arriba.

-No intentes peinar tus rizos con el cabello seco.

-No uses geles que contengan alcohol que suelen resecar el pelo.

Mascarilla casera para pelo rizado

Un yogur griego o yogur natural

Dos cucharadas de aceite oliva, dos cucharadas de miel

un plátano maduro

y una yema de huevo.

Mezclar todo y aplicar en el pelo, deja actuar durante 40 minutos y  enjuaga y lava como de costumbre.

Consejos para cuidar el pelo liso

-Antes de salir de la ducha, cierra el agua caliente y enjuaga el pelo con agua fría. Este toque le dará más brillo a tu cabello.

-Si quieres un cabello liso deja que se seque suelto para que no queden marcas.

-Un error que cometemos a la hora de secar el pelo es usar el secador de abajo hacia arriba, eso le va a sumar volumen al pelo y hará que no se vea liso.

-Los cabellos lisos suelen pesar bastante, de ahí que les falte volumen y haya que utilizar productos que le den un poco de movimiento. Por eso, trata de evitar las melenas muy largas, mejor, cortes de pelo escalados y más cortos.

Mascarillas casera para pelo liso

  • Mascarilla de coco: tritura la carne blanca de medio coco junto a media taza de leche y 1 cucharada de avena molida. Aplica sobre el pelo húmedo, deja actuar durante 20 minutos y, finalmente, enjuaga y lava como de costumbre.
  • Mascarilla de miel y fresa: tritura 100 g de fresas, 2 cucharadas de miel y 4 cucharaditas de aceite de almendras. Aplica la mascarilla sobre el cabello húmedo y tras 20 minutos de reposo, se lava el pelo.
