O más aún: ¿a qué nos referimos cuando decimos mar? ¿Nos referimos al inmenso monstruo capaz de devorar cualquier cosa o esa ola que espuma en tomo a nuestros pies? ¿Al agua que te cabe en el cuenco de la mano o al abismo que nadie puede ver? ¿Lo decimos todo con una sola palabra o con una sola palabra lo ocultamos todo? Estoy aquí, a un paso del mar, y ni siquiera soy capaz de comprender dónde está él El mar. El mar…
El mar encanta, el mar mata, conmueve, asusta, también hace reír, a veces desaparece, de vez en cuando se disfraza de lago, o bien construye tempestades, devora naves, regala riquezas, no da respuestas, es sabio, es dulce, es potente, es imprevisible. Pero, sobre todo, el mar llama.
Cada vez que estoy delante del mar me abro a los regalos del aire, y los colores y las formas y las vibraciones me entran y salen del pecho con la misma facilidad con la que atraviesan una ventana.
El mar es todo. Cubre siete décimas del globo terrestre. Su aliento es puro y saludable. Es un inmenso desierto, donde el hombre nunca esté solo, porque siente vida por todos los lados.
La cura para todo es siempre agua salada: el sudor, las lágrimas o el mar.
Yo tantas preguntas me hice que me fui a vivir a la orilla del mar heroico y simultáneo y tiré al agua las respuestas para no pelearme con nadie.
Para mí, el mar es como una persona, como un niño al que conozco de hace mucho tiempo. Suena como una locura, lo sé, pero cuando nado en el mar, hablo con él. Nunca me siento sola en esa inmensidad.
Cuando se es frágiles emocionalmente, basta con mirar un panorama, escuchar el sonido del mar y recordar el rostro de las personas con las que hemos estado hasta unos instantes antes.
Mirar el mar de noche como se mira a una madre que duerme. Cuidar cada respiro. Aprender a oír ese hálito que parece decir “Ábrete a las cosas y sueña”.
Los tres grandes sonidos elementales en la naturaleza son el sonido de la lluvia, el sonido del viento en un bosque primitivo y el sonido del océano en una playa.
En el mar la vida es diferente. No está hecha de horas, sino de momentos. Se vive según las corrientes, las mareas, siguiendo el sol.
No se puede ser infeliz cuando se tiene esto: el olor del mar, la arena bajo los dedos, el aire, el viento.
Cuando mis pensamientos están ansiosos, inquietos y malos, me voy a la orilla del mar, y el mar los ahoga y los manda lejos con sus grandes sonidos anchos, lo purifica con su ruido e impone un ritmo sobre todo lo que en mí es desorientado y confundido.
El océano agita el corazón, inspira la imaginación y trae alegría eterna el alma.
En cada promontorio, en cada playa curva, en cada grano de arena, está la historia de la Tierra.
No debemos perder la fe en la humanidad que es como el océano: no se ensucia porque algunas de sus gotas estén sucias.
Estamos atados al océano. Y cuando volvemos al mar, ya sea para navegar o mirar, volvemos de dónde venimos.
Nunca habrás disfrutado del mundo correctamente hasta que el mar fluya por tus venas y hasta que estés vestido con los cielos y coronado con las estrellas.
En el mar la vida es diferente. No está hecha de horas, sino de momentos. Se vive según las corrientes, las mareas, siguiendo el sol.
A veces sentimos que lo que hacemos es tan solo una gota en el mar, pero el mar sería menos si le faltara esa gota.
